Abstract
Based on a (2n+1)×(2n+1) matrix Dbar equation and two linear equations concerning the spectral transformation matrix, the generalized n-component Sasa-Satsuma (GNSS) equation is investigated via the Dbar-dressing method. The Lax pair, the symmetry conditions of the spectral transformation matrix, and infinitely many conservation laws are derived for the GNSS equation in sequence. Furthermore, by employing a recursion operator, we construct a hierarchy of GNSS equations with a source term. Finally, soliton solutions for the GNSS equation are obtained based on an explicit representation of the spectral transformation matrix and expressed in a compact form. The dynamic characteristics of one- and two-soliton solutions are analyzed graphically for specific examples with varying parameters.
