Abstract
To the Editor: In the LITESPARK-022 trial, Choueiri et al. (July 2 issue) 1 found that the combination of pembrolizumab and belzutifan, as compared with pembrolizumab and placebo, resulted in a 7.0-percentage-point improvement in 24-month disease-free survival. Pembrolizumab–belzutifan also resulted in a higher incidence of adverse events of grade 3 or higher than pembrolizumab–placebo (52.1% vs. 30.2%), as well as a higher incidence of adverse events that led to discontinuation of any drug or placebo in the trial regimen (34.3% vs. 19.5%). This trade-off makes the unreported prespecified patient-reported outcomes clinically consequential. European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality...
