Abstract
In response to the practical challenges of the lack of objective verification using portable devices and difficulties in participant recruitment for current Schumann wave sleep-aid technology, this study adopted a wearable ring (which collects multi-dimensional physiological data such as sleep status, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, body temperature, stress index, and blood pressure) and a fixed 7.83 Hz Schumann wave generator. A small-sample self-controlled experiment was conducted with three healthy adults as subjects. The improvement effect of fixed-frequency Schumann waves on sleep quality was verified by collecting physiological data and subjective sleep satisfaction scores of the subjects during the baseline and intervention periods. The results show that the 7.83 Hz Schumann wave intervention can significantly reduce the number of awakenings, increase the proportion of deep sleep, decrease the resting heart rate, and significantly improve the subjective sleep satisfaction score. This study provides small-sample objective data support for the effectiveness of fixed-frequency Schumann wave sleep-aid devices and offers a reference for the rapid verification and application promotion of portable sleep-aid technologies.
