Abstract
A corner cube retroreflector structure is proposed, with the three surfaces of the corner cube forming an imperfect orthogonal structure. The spot pattern formed by corner cube retroreflection is calculated for different corner cube structural parameters. Depending on the specific parameters, 2, 4, 5, or 6 spots will be formed, and the geometric center of all the spots represents the projection point of the corner cube incident light axis on the image sensor. A light axis positioning algorithm based on the correlation of returned light spot patterns is developed to achieve precise light axis positioning. The positioning algorithm has strong robustness and can still accurately locate the light axis even when a large number of interference sources randomly distributed on the image have features similar to the spots, or when 1 to 2 spots are missing. Since the geometric center of the spots is left empty, the image at the beam positioning point will not be affected by the spots.
