Abstract
The article concerns the contemporary novel for young people, Entanglement State by Roksana Jędrzejewska-Wróbel. The text defines the problems of the work, characterizes the main characters, i.e. the elderly (residents of the Zaciszna Przystań nursing home) and the young (volunteers, students of the last grade of primary school), and describes their mutual relations. It also indicates the reasons for discussing the Entanglement State in Polish language lessons. A large part of the article is devoted to the ways of discussing Jędrzejewska-Wróbel’s novel, which require taking into account elements of different schools of text analysis and interpretation and references to different fields of knowledge.
