Abstract
Mathieu Kassovitz’s Hate has become a cult film and still maintains the image of a work presenting the world filled with violence to the present day. The characters’ language is strong, direct, and often insulting and aggressive. Feelings of incomprehension, mistrust, and hatred dominate all action and are expressed in different ways. More than a quarter of a century has passed since the making of the film, so it is reasonable to question the topicality of the content and hate.
