Abstract
The paper examines the importance of environmental impact assessment (EIA) and environmental audit as key elements of environmental management at enterprises. The main stages and methods of conducting the procedures are analysed, and typical shortcomings in the practice of their implementation are identified. Based on the cases of LLC "NVP "Ekozakhist", approaches to increasing the efficiency of EIA and audit procedures are proposed.
