Abstract
A numerical analysis of the hardfacing process was conducted to precisely define its technological parameters, which were then experimentally verified. The developed numerical models demonstrated high consistency with the experimental results, confirming their suitability for analyzing and selecting key parameters of the hardfacing process. The use of a simulation approach significantly reduced the number of time-consuming and costly experimental tests and allowed for a better understanding of the phenomena occurring during regenerative hardfacing. The research was supplemented with a description of the microstructural phenomena occurring in the weld.
