Abstract
July 5, 2025, marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the distinguished Ukrainian scientist and physician Stanislav Zayachkivsky (1925-1980). This essay outlines his life journey, provides a brief overview of his scientific research and medical work on infectious diseases, and highlights his innovative ideas for establishing and developing tropical infectious disease research at Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University in Ukraine, where S. Zayachkivsky worked to promote progressive changes in the scientific medical paradigm.
