Abstract
Attracting foreign students to China is an important channel for deepening cultural exchanges between countries and representing intercultural education. The development of intercultural abilities should occupy an important place in the educational process, especially in the training of personnel. Since the beginning of the policy of “reform and openness”, China has achieved great success in the field of teaching foreign students. Faced with the problems of the development of education in the new era, China never stopped attempting to research various educational reforms. Since culture is the soul of the country and nation, the excellent traditional culture of China formed the basis for the implementation of cultural and educational work with foreign students. The introduction of intercultural education is an important guarantee of the implementation of educational goals in the process of teaching foreign students in China. In this study as an example there is the training course for foreign students “Introduction to China’s tea culture” proposed by Shanghai Political and Legal University. The article summarizes and reflects the practice of “intercultural moral education of foreign students” in the context of applying the mechanism of joint training and educational potential of the content of training and practical methods of moral education. In addition, in the article, special attention is devoted to the analysis of the potential value of the Chinese traditional culture for organizing the moral education of foreign students in Chinese universities in terms of “interculture”. Observations of the application of the model of joint training of foreign students were made in terms of intercultural communication, concluding with the belief of the rich potential of this course. In practical terms, the work done allows teachers to reconsider the tactics and results of their training practices and improve the methodology of organizing the educational process, pedagogical approaches and conditions, as well as the coordination of the educational work of all links related to the implementation of the course.
