Abstract
The article deals with the creative work of one of the representatives of the creative environment of Ukrainian diaspora in the USA Anatoly Kolomyjets. The artist was born at Poltava region where the family managed to go West. At Chicago, the artist found like-minded people with whom at 1950–1960th he created art group «Monolith». His friends included such prominent figures of Ukrainian art as Omelyan Mazurok, Bohdan Rubchak, Luboslav Gucaliuk, Konstantyn Melonadis, Myhailo Urban.
