Cultural hero as a part of artistic thinking of classical times

The article analyses the features of the cultural hero paradigm in the visual arts of the Classical Antiquity. The author highlights the parallels with the modern understanding of the place of a cultural hero in the visual art, mostly sculpture, and researches the basic principles of the cultural understanding of «cultural hero» concept in the Antiquity comparing to the present times.
