Abstract
This article examines the problem of the insufficient presence of Ukrainian research institutions in the digital space as a factor hindering the expansion of international cooperation and the effective transfer of research results. This issue is particularly relevant given the shortage of government funding and the growing demands on research institutions to strengthen international cooperation. It is argued that, in today’s environment, a research institution’s presence in the digital space involves not only presenting the institution on its own website, on professional social networks and scientometric databases, but also the systematic strengthening of the digital presence of its researchers by creating and updating their profiles on international platforms and integrating them into international thematic networks and professional associations in their respective fields. It has been confirmed that the success of Ukrainian research institutions in securing grant funding is directly linked to their digital visibility and integration into the international digital space. In addition, the article focus- es on the need to properly organize efforts to increase the presence of research institutions in the digital environ- ment in order to build a positive image of these institutions and enhance their competitive advantages on both the national and international levels. Based on the results of the research, the authors propose a comprehensive model aimed at enhancing the digital visibility of research institutions using available information resources, where effective representation in the digital space is viewed as a key tool for promoting research institutions at the international level, finding partners, and successfully attracting additional funding for scientific activities. The practical significance of the research lies in the possibility of applying the obtained results to enhance the competitiveness of domestic research institutions within the European Research Area, support the capitalisation of scientific potential, and diversify the sources of funding for the institutions’ research activities.
