Abstract
The aim of this study is to examine the influence of the trust economy in e-commerce in regard to how the verification of the online transaction using technology, as well as user reviews, affect purchase decisions and increase consumer trust in the Iraqi environment. In the present research, a descriptive-analytical method is used. Data collection has been done using a questionnaire with 15 questions based on a five-point Likert scale divided into two main dimensions. The validity of the instrument has been verified using face and content validity, while reliability has been determined by means of Cronbach's Alpha with high consistency. It has been found that trust in e-commerce is rather high, with mean value of 4.06. The differences have been observed in the influence of variables, where the variable of user review was the most influential for purchase decision (mean=4.16), compared with digital verification mechanism (mean=3.97). It has also been found out that the role of social trust in consumer behavior is much more important compared to the technical trust and Iraqi consumers use other people's experience and opinions while making their decisions.
