Abstract
A 58-year-old male presented to the dermatology department with a primary complaint of an achromatic exophytic lesion measuring 0.5×2 cm, with irregular borders, located in the right periocular region at the junction of the preseptal lower eyelid and eyelid-cheek aesthetic subunits. The lesion protruded above the surrounding skin and was covered with central ulceration and a hemorrhagic crust. Based on the clinical presentation, basal cell carcinoma was suspected and surgical excision under local anesthesia was recommended. [...]
