Abstract
Chapter 8 engages with Boaventura de Sousa Santos&s;s concept of “abyssal thinking” to critique the epistemological foundations of Western thought. It argues for a new, decolonized form of psychoanalysis that operates from “the other side of the abyssal line,” embracing marginalized knowledge and experiences.
