Abstract
The National School Feeding Program is a Brazilian public policy that aims to ensure healthy and adequate food to students of public schools in the country, with incentives to purchase food directly from family farming. The objective was to analyze the effectiveness of article 14 of the Federal Law No 11.947/2009 in the municipalities of the Mesorregiões Geográficas do Oeste Paranaense and of Presidente Prudente (SP). This is a retrospective longitudinal study with quantitative, descriptive and analytical approach on secondary data available in SigPC. According to the level of service of the municipalities, these were grouped according to the percentage intended for family agriculture category 1-0% of the transfer; category 2- 0.1% to 29.9%; category 3- 30% to 39.9%; and category 4- 40%. Acquisitions of family farming were higher in the West Paranaense Mesoregion in all analyzed years, with a focus on acquisitions 40%. The Mesoregion of Presidente Prudente presented a significant number of municipalities that do not acquire anything or do not reach the minimum percentage of 30% required by the Law. It is concluded that even after several years since the promulgation of Law 11.947/2009, many municipalities analyzed still do not meet the established by article 14.
