Abstract
This study aims to determine the suitability of cooperative learning type think talk write (TTW) in an effort to improve mathematical communication skills in class XII MIPA SMA Negeri 3 Bangkalan. This research is a classroom action research conducted at SMA Negeri 3 Bangkalan using research subjects of class XII MIPA 1 students consisting of 32 students carried out in 2 cycles. The model used is a think talk write type learning model with students learning activities to read texts and make notes from the readings individually (think) to be brought to discussion forums, then students interact and collaborate with friends in a group to discuss the contents of notes using language and words. -he said himself (talk). Then students construct their own knowledge which includes understanding and communication of mathematics in written form (write). The results showed that the application of think talk write (TTW) cooperative learning can improve mathematical communication skills in class XII MIPA students of SMA Negeri 3 Bangkalan. Judging from the results of the percentage of students' test scores in the first cycle of 73.43% and the second cycle of 93.75% which shows that students' mathematical communication skills in writing have increased. Judging from the total average score of students' verbal mathematical communication skills in the first cycle of 2.48 with a fairly good category and the second cycle of 3.06 with a good category. This shows that students' verbal mathematical communication skills have increased and have reached the predetermined indicators. Based on the analysis of the results of observations of learning activities by teachers in cycle I and Cycle II, the results are in good category. Thus it can be concluded that the hypothesis of the action taken can be accepted as true.
