Abstract
The aim of this text is to review the matter/medium binomial in the work of Daniel Lie, through the exhibition “Dan Lie: dejar ir” and “El peso de la sombra” of Jean Marie Pendrix, to understand the production of visuality that emerges in the museum space in articulation with the category of ecomatters, as the type of political, artistic, ecological and material commitment that these works embedded in the museum would have. Watering on the theories of Karen Barad, Jane Bennet, Timothy Morton, Jussi Parikka, and Clare Bishop, among others, we will seek to describe these installations through three categories that will function analytically here: ecosystems, waste, and organisms, which undergo processes of becoming articulated to an ontological and activist reflection from the strong position of enunciation held by the artists, one in the queer and trans world and the other from a political ecology.
