Abstract
Advances in information technology have had a significant influence on data governance in government agencies, including the narcotics crime countermeasures sector. The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of North Maluku Province faces challenges in data collection and identification of narcotics targets, such as unconnected data management systems, time-consuming information searches, and difficulties in tracking the track record of target involvement. This research aims to design and implement a website-based Narcotics Target Data Collection and Identification Information System (SIPINTAR) to support the management of target and narcotics case data in a structured and integrated manner. The system was developed using the Waterfall method through the stages of needs analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The main features include suspect data management, case data management, tracing of target involvement history, information search, and preparation of reports based on regional categories, time periods, and types of narcotics. The results of the study show that this website-based system is able to increase the effectiveness, speed, and accuracy of narcotics information management within the North Maluku Province BNN. The presence of SIPINTAR is expected to support the analysis and strategic decision-making process related to efforts to prevent and eradicate narcotics trafficking.
