Abstract
Poverty remains a persistent issue for households that face difficulties in meeting basic needs, particularly in education, health, and daily living. This study aims to analyze the role of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in improving the welfare of poor households in Pasar Singkut Village and to identify factors supporting and hindering its implementation. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving 12 informants, consisting of one PKH facilitator, ten Beneficiary Families (KPM), and one village head. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation, while data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that PKH contributes to improving the welfare of KPM by helping them meet children's educational needs, access health services, and fulfill basic household needs, thereby reducing household expenditure burdens. However, the program has not fully encouraged the economic independence of beneficiaries. The implementation of PKH is supported by coordination and continuous assistance, while the main challenges include limited understanding among some KPM regarding the objectives and obligations of the program, as well as issues related to beneficiary data and its updating. These findings indicate the importance of strengthening beneficiary assistance, information delivery, and data updating mechanisms to support more effective implementation of PKH at the village level.
