Abstract
In handball, shooting technique is a crucial skill for scoring goals; the success of this technique can determine the outcome of a match. This study aims to analyze the accuracy of shooting skills at a regional handball championship in West Kalimantan in 2025. This study employs a non-experimental design using a quantitative descriptive method. This study employed total population sampling; thus, the population and sample consisted of all matches in the 2025 West Kalimantan Handball Championship, totaling 16 matches. The data collection instrument involved completing observation sheets to calculate the accuracy of the shooting techniques performed, supplemented by video documentation of the matches; the data were then analyzed by calculating the percentage of shooting accuracy. Overall, shooting accuracy in this championship reached 63.3% of a total of 1,091 shots. Among the techniques analyzed, the fall shot had the highest accuracy at 82.9% out of 70 shots, while the jump shot was the most frequently used technique with an accuracy of 54.3%.
