Abstract
This research thoroughly investigated how communication techniques can be utilized to underscore the importance of teachers acquiring and enhancing emotional abilities in the online learning environment. The research is based on three theories: Emotional Intelligence Theory, Social Presence Theory, and Transactional Model of Communication, to elucidate the link between communication methods and teachers' emotional skills in online learning contexts. To uncover the results, the research employs a descriptive survey research design alongside a quantitative methodology. The findings of the research show that educators who utilize efficient communication tactics are better prepared to comprehend students' emotional requirements, offer timely and supportive feedback, and cultivate a feeling of belonging and involvement in online learning platforms. The study indicates that interactive, student-focused, and emotionally attuned communication methods significantly aid educators in connecting with students in virtual settings. It is concluded that effective communication strategies are crucial for highlighting and boosting teachers' emotional skills in the online educational environment, as educators must deliberately develop emotional competencies like empathy, emotional awareness, self-control, and social presence to enhance meaningful teaching and learning encounters. Consequently, the research suggests that educational institutions should implement interactive, student-focused, and emotionally attuned communication techniques in virtual classrooms, and approaches such as attentive listening, empathetic replies, discussion-oriented learning, and real-time engagement tools should be incorporated into online learning delivery to reinforce teacher-student relationships and enhance learning results.
