Abstract
In today’s world, where the pace and complexity of modern life are steadily increasing, the psychological effects of the noticeable rise in the number of stressors individuals face are being examined in considerable depth. For many people, coping with the various aspects of stress is becoming increasingly difficult with each passing day. Nomophobia, which is particularly prevalent amongst the younger population, is paving the way for the emergence of anxiety and various forms of technology addiction as technology plays an ever-greater role in daily life; this situation is becoming a significant problem amongst young people and is attracting attention as a social phenomenon. Today, young people may find themselves withdrawing from many social activities due to this dependence on their mobile phones. In this context, strong and striking links have been observed between the negative effects of stressful life events on individuals’ levels of hopelessness and the development of nomophobia.
