Abstract
Women in Jedong Village have the potential to develop businesses based on local resources, but their utilization has not been optimal. Jedong Village has five local community groups that play a role in developing community businesses. Objective: This study aims to analyze the role of women in Jedong Village in utilizing local potential as a product of small household-based businesses. Methods: The study was conducted in March -April 2026 using qualitative and quantitative methods. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and literature studies, then analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects of the study were women of productive age in Jedong Village. Results: The results of the study indicate that the role of women in utilizing local potential is not optimal. Of the 104 families, only 15 women have cassava-based businesses. Most women have production skills but still face obstacles in marketing and product packaging due to limited experience. Conclusion: Optimizing the role of women can be done through the formation of joint business groups to develop household products based on local potential. Further research will focus on the effectiveness of the business management model in Jedong Village.
