Abstract
Employee performance plays a crucial role in supporting the operational success of the hotel industry; every organization focuses on efforts to optimize human resource performance because HR is a key factor in achieving strong company performance. This study aims to determine the effect of training on employee performance. The population in this study consists of all 104 permanent employees. The data used is primary data obtained directly from a questionnaire survey. The method employed is simple linear regression analysis. This study was conducted among employees at Hotel X, using a sample of 83 respondents selected through random sampling. The regression equation is Y = 8.071 + 1.108X. The results show an R-squared value of 0.605, indicating that training explains 60.5% of the variation in employee performance, while the remaining 39.5% is explained by variables not included in this study. Training has a calculated t-value of 11.137 and a significant t-test value of p < 0.001. The conclusion is that training has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. In future research, it is recommended to examine other variables that are strongly suspected of influencing employee performance.
