Abstract
Harmonious industrial relations are a crucial factor in creating a work environment that is conducive, productive, and fair. However, in practice, there remains a potential for conflicting interests between workers and the company, particularly regarding the fulfillment of workers' rights, communication, employee welfare, and the resolution of industrial disputes. In this context, labor unions play a strategic role as a platform for voicing aspirations and representing workers' interests within the company. This study aims to analyze the role of the labor union in fostering industrial relations at PT. Parkland World Indonesia and to identify the factors that facilitate or hinder the execution of this role. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed. Data were gathered through observation, interviews with union officials, workers, and company representatives, as well as document analysis. The data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the labor union plays a role in channeling workers' aspirations, advocating for the fulfillment of rights and welfare, establishing communication between workers and the company, and assisting in dispute resolution through consultation and consensus. These roles contribute to the creation of more harmonious industrial relations. In conclusion, the presence of the labor union makes a significant contribution to building industrial relations characterized by communication, democracy, and fairness at PT. Parkland World Indonesia.
