Abstract
This review article analyzes recent research addressing health discourses during the first phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, which lasted from March to May 2020 in Colombia. The aim was to delve deeper into the analysis of discourse in Colombian television media and how these discourses were projected on social networks such as Facebook. The main objective was to analyze the predominant discourses, how some actors immersed in this scenario were represented, the interactions between users of the digital world, and the public perception of information. Throughout the research, an informational framework focused on the change produced by the virus and the exaltation of health personnel and entities that contributed to the
protection of the population was evident. Also, practices of misinformation or omission in digital communication were evident. One of the most important conclusions is that although there is a significant amount of research regarding the influence of COVID-19 in various settings, especially in education, significant gaps persist in the analysis of audiovisual discourse during the pandemic and its reception on platforms such as Facebook. Therefore, this article focuses on mapping research focused on health discourses during the pandemic and its journalistic coverage.
