Abstract
This study presents a rapid review on the implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) focused on energy management within craft breweries, highlighting their impact on operating costs and financial performance. A systematic search was conducted in academic databases (ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, Google Scholar), selecting studies from the last five years with quantitative data on cost reduction, return on investment (ROI), and economic profitability. The results indicate that the adoption of KPIs can reduce energy operating costs by 10% to 20%, significantly improving financial profitability. Technologies such as photovoltaic systems, instant water heaters, and smart monitoring offer short financial payback periods and a noticeable improvement in economic sustainability. This analysis provides strong evidence to support informed strategic decisions in the craft brewing industry and recommends future research involving detailed long-term financial analysis.
