Abstract
This study aimed to identify the role of accounting disclosure in enhancing and achieving the quality of financial reporting in accordance with corporate governance principles at the Libyan Foreign Bank. To achieve this objective, a descriptive-analytical approach was employed to gather data and construct the theoretical framework. The study population comprised personnel from the Financial Department as well as related departments and divisions within the bank. A structured questionnaire served as the primary tool for data collection, which was subsequently processed and analyzed using statistical analysis software.
The findings revealed that despite the presence of effective corporate governance rules at the bank, which positively attributes to increasing the degree of accounting disclosure and financial reporting quality — there remains a persistent need to deepen these rules and align them with modern developments. Continuous development is essential to ensure more effective implementation and to achieve optimal long-term results.
