Abstract
This article exposes the spiritual deception that underlies the New Age promise of an imminent “Age of Aquarius.” By retracing the intellectual lineage from Helena P. Blavatsky’s nineteenth-century Theosophy to Alice A. Bailey’s Externalization of the Hierarchy—with its timetable climaxing in 2025—the study reveals how esoteric panentheism, once confined to occult circles, has been secularized through corporate self-help culture and popular psychology. It documents the diffusion of New Age techniques into churches via prosperity teaching, contemplative mysticism, and neo-prophetic practices, thereby dismantling the historic Creator–creation distinction. Sociological and historical case studies show that these trends converge with contemporary interfaith diplomacy and UNESCO-style “global ethics,” effectively laying the ideological scaffolding for a one-world religion. Juxtaposing this trajectory with biblical eschatology, the article argues that the projected Aquarian utopia mirrors scriptural warnings of a final apostasy orchestrated by an Antichrist figure and a False Prophet. It concludes with a call for rigorous doctrinal discernment, ethical vigilance, and a Christ-centred hope that resists the siren song of syncretism and self-deification
