Abstract
This study examines the formation of values among adolescents raised in incomplete families, with particular attention to the socio-psychological factors that may influence their value orientations. The study is based on Shalom Schwartz’s theory of basic human values, which provides a framework for understanding the motivational goals underlying adolescents’ value preferences. A mixed-methods research design was employed, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches. The participants were 100 adolescents aged 10–17 who were raised in incomplete families. Data were collected using an adapted version of the Schwartz Value Survey, a socio-demographic questionnaire, and semi-structured interviews.
