Abstract
This study presents an integrated approach to evaluating the water demand of cotton in irrigated fields using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, and satellite imagery. Cotton vegetation and soil moisture dynamics were assessed through spectral indicators. Reference evapotranspiration (ETo) was calculated using meteorological data, and crop evapotranspiration (ETc) was determined according to the FAO methodology. The principles of decision-making for irrigation scheduling based on GIS zonal analysis of crop water requirements are outlined. Model calculation sequences, interpretation of NDVI and ETc dynamics on graphs, and the proposed technological scheme are explained in detail.
