Abstract
This article examines the scientific and practical foundations for designing protective forest belts along the Karshi main canal route. Based on long-term observation data, the wind regime and soil-relief conditions along the canal route were analyzed. Consequently, an optimal scheme of 10-row forest belts with a semi-permeable (blown-through) structure was proposed.
