Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of inflation, exchange rates, and interest rates on the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2019–2024. The JCI is the main indicator that reflects the performance of the Indonesian capital market and is influenced by various macroeconomic factors. This study employs a quantitative approach using secondary monthly data collected from Bank Indonesia, Statistics Indonesia, and the Indonesia Stock Exchange from January 2019 to December 2024. The analytical methods include descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination.
The results indicate that inflation has a negative and significant effect on the JCI. Exchange rates have a negative but insignificant effect on the JCI. Interest rates have a negative and significant effect on the JCI. Simultaneously, inflation, exchange rates, and interest rates significantly affect the JCI. These findings suggest that macroeconomic conditions remain important factors influencing the Indonesian capital market and should be considered by investors and policymakers.
