Abstract
This paper examines profiling mechanisms in preventing latent crime at checkpoints. Data from Experimental and Control groups were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test. Integrating profiling with Smart Video Analytics increased uncovering latent "legends" up to 87% and contraband detection up to 81%. Screening time decreased from 9.4 to 4.1 minutes, achieving 56.3% time-saving. Practical recommendations for optimizing latent crime prevention are provided.
