Abstract
This article examines opportunities for improving students’ key competencies through the use of problem-based learning technologies in teaching physics at school. Methods for creating problem situations during lessons, developing students’ logical and critical thinking, and fostering practical problem-solving skills are analyzed. Practical recommendations are provided for developing students’ inquiry skills and self-directed learning competencies through the analysis of physical phenomena and the formulation of hypotheses.
