Abstract
The article analyses theoretical and methodological foundations for developing future teachers’ research competence through artificial intelligence tools within comparative pedagogy. It specifies motivational-axiological, cognitive, operational-research, digital-AI, and ethical-reflexive components of the competence. A methodology is proposed that integrates problem formulation, source search and verification, construction of comparative criteria, evidence synthesis, academic writing, and reflective evaluation. The methodology is grounded in human oversight, academic integrity, source reliability, and sensitivity to national context.
