Abstract
This article examines the psychological characteristics of communicative stress in the professional activities of tour guides. These professional demands make communicative stress one of the major psychological factors affecting guides' occupational performance, emotional well-being, and service quality. The study analyzes the psychological mechanisms underlying communicative stress and explores the roles of emotional intelligence, stress resilience, communicative competence, and personal psychological resources in maintaining effective professional functioning. Furthermore, the paper discusses contemporary psychological approaches for preventing and reducing communicative stress in the tourism sector, including emotional self- regulation, resilience development, conflict management, and communication skills training. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of occupational psychology in tourism and provide practical recommendations for improving the psychological well-being and professional effectiveness of tour guides.
