Abstract
This article presents a theoretical and methodological analysis of the psychological mechanisms involved in developing independent thinking among university students within a digital information environment. The study substantiates the structural components of independent thinking (motivational-value, cognitive-analytical, behavioral-practical, reflective- evaluative) and key activating mechanisms: cognitive filtering, problem-based cognitive dissonance, and reflective self-regulation.
