Abstract
The article examines the legal nature of the institution of reviewing court judgments and the powers of higher court instances under appellate, cassation and revision procedures. It analyses the procedural reforms of 2021–2023 and the new model of judicial review established by Presidential Decree PF-160 of 14 August 2026, and puts forward proposals for improving the procedure.
