Abstract
postoperative wounds requiring prolonged treatment. Inadequate wound care may delay healing, increase infection risk, and reduce patient satisfaction. Moist Wound Healing maintains a balanced moist environment to promote tissue regeneration and accelerate healing. This study aimed to analyze its effect on wound healing duration and patient satisfaction among hospitalized patients. A quantitative quasi-experimental one-group pretest–posttest study was conducted in the inpatient ward of RSUD M. Natsir Kota Solok, involving 35 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through direct wound observation and a validated patient satisfaction questionnaire. Univariate analysis used frequency distributions, while Wilcoxon and Paired t-tests were used for bivariate analysis. Mean wound healing duration significantly decreased from 14.2 to 8.6 days after the intervention (p<0.001), while patient satisfaction increased from 45.7% to 88.6% (p<0.001). Thus, Moist Wound Healing significantly accelerates wound healing and improves patient satisfaction. Consistent implementation by nurses is recommended to optimize healing outcomes and healthcare service quality.
