Research Gap Discovery for Gokul C. Iyer

An evidence-labelled discovery layer that highlights potentially underserved research signals by comparing this researcher’s stated interests with the public catalogue, citation activity and verified collaboration network.

Signals analysed

Higher-priority signals

Sampled publications

Verified collaborators

Citation connections

Opportunity signals

Potentially underserved areas

These are discovery signals, not definitive claims that a scientific gap exists. Higher scores mean the sampled public evidence is relatively sparse, recent activity is limited, or the topic has weak visible citation/collaboration connectivity.

Add research interests, research areas or keywords to the public researcher profile to generate evidence-labelled gap signals.

Evidence path

How the signals are generated

1. Start with public research interests, research areas and keywords.
2. Find matching public catalogue records using title/abstract search text.
3. Measure external publication volume, recent activity and aggregate citation signal.
4. Add visible collaboration connectivity and rank comparatively sparse signals.

Evidence policy

Interpret with care

This engine identifies areas that look underserved in the sampled ResearchHub catalogue. It does not establish novelty, causality, clinical importance, publication bias, or the absence of research elsewhere. A high score should be treated as a prompt for human literature review and database searching.

Signals used: Profile interests/areas/keywords + public catalogue text matches + publication recency + citation signal + verified collaboration links.

Next research step

Use a high-priority signal as a starting point for a structured literature search, scoping review or systematic review. The discovery page is deliberately conservative and keeps the evidence trail visible.
