Sarah Chidi Ihenko

My research interests span plant genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, and crop improvement. I have a background in plant morphology, anatomy, and phytochemistry, and I am expanding my expertise in computational biology and modern genomics. I contribute to the African BioGenome Project, supporting collaborative efforts to advance African biodiversity genomics, research capacity, and equitable access to genomic data. My long-term goal is to apply genetic and computational approaches to crop improvement and agricultural resilience.
