How to Request a Correction to Your Scientist Ranking Profile
A practical evidence-first workflow for inaccurate identity, publication or citation records.
Identify the specific problem
Record the exact profile URL and affected item. Distinguish between a wrong author, missing DOI, duplicated publication, incorrect affiliation and citation-count disagreement. Each has a different source of evidence and may require a different correction.
Gather authoritative documentation
Useful evidence includes ORCID links, publisher records, DOI pages, official correction notices and verified institutional information. A screenshot of a different ranking platform may help describe a discrepancy but does not by itself establish which count is right.
Explain the requested change
Specify what should be corrected, why the current link appears wrong and which record supports the replacement. Avoid sending credentials, unpublished confidential material or another person's personal data unnecessarily.
Allow for source updates
Some errors originate in external bibliographic providers. A platform correction may need source-level reconciliation to prevent the next import from restoring the mistake. Keep the edition and date when assessing any resulting rank movement.
