The Six ResearchHub Scientist Recognition Tiers
A guide to the top-0.1%, top-1%, top-2%, top-5%, top-10% and top-25% certificate labels.
A tier represents a threshold
RSIS defines recognition labels by top-percentage cut-offs within the relevant eligible comparison process. They are ResearchHub designations, not universal awards granted by governments, universities or international accreditation bodies.
The published labels
The six labels are ResearchHub Elite Scientist (Top 0.1%), Highly Influential Scientist (Top 1%), Top 2% Scientist (Top 2%), Distinguished Scientist (Top 5%), Leading Scientist (Top 10%), and Recognised Researcher (Top 25%).
Evidence rules still apply
A percentile threshold is necessary but not sufficient. Formal certificate issuance also depends on identity verification, admitted research evidence, completeness and integrity-review conditions. Smaller cohorts require especially careful interpretation of top-percentage labels.
How to describe an award
When using a designation in a CV or announcement, include ResearchHub, the edition or methodology version, the exact tier and a verification link. Avoid presenting it as an independent international honour or a general licence to practise.
